Hi, I’m
David Warriner.
I’m a professional literary translator with two decades of experience working with publishers, literary agents, creative agencies and event management teams.
I grew up in the UK and moved to Quebec after graduating from Oxford. I’m passionate about fiction in French and have translated a range of fiction, nonfiction, and children’s fiction by authors based in Quebec and France for Canadian and UK publishers.
After living in France and Quebec, I’ve chosen to settle in a small town in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley.
I respectfully acknowledge and appreciate the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the syilx Okanagan People, on whose lands I live, work and play.
Please note:
I work directly with commissioning publishers and am not available to translate self-published works or help authors or agents pitch potential projects to publishers.
